Effective Date: 14/06/2025
Last Updated: 14/06/2025

1. Overview

F1 Calendar Script is a personal automation tool that reads your Google Calendar events to control devices and media systems based on scheduled Formula 1 races. The application is not publicly distributed and is intended for private, personal use only.

2. Information Collected

The app accesses your Google Calendar via the calendar.readonly scope. It collects:

  • Event metadata (e.g., event title, start time, end time)

No personal data, such as email addresses, contact names, or event content outside of F1 event titles and times, is collected or stored.

3. How Information Is Used

The collected calendar event information is used only to:

  • Detect events with “F1” in the title
  • Automatically trigger scripts to start or stop media applications or devices (e.g., launching a Formula 1 app on an Android TV)

No data is sent externally, logged remotely, or used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

4. Storage and Security

All event data is processed locally on your own server or machine. The app does not transmit any calendar data over the internet or to third-party services.

Your token.json authentication credentials are securely stored on your machine and used only for interacting with the Google Calendar API.

5. Sharing of Information

No data is shared with third parties under any circumstances.

6. Consent and Control

By authorizing F1 Calendar Script through your Google account, you consent to the application accessing your calendar in read-only mode. You can revoke access at any time through your Google account permissions:
