I’m a tech enthusiast who’s been passionate about technology since I got my first PC at the age of 11. Over the past 20+ years, ICT has been both my main hobby and career, constantly driving my curiosity and expertise. After studying ICT, Business, and Photography at college, I landed my first IT job in 2010 at a small software development company. There, I was part of the support team, primarily assisting schools with their software needs. After five years in that role, I was ready for a new challenge.
I transitioned into the public sector as a network engineer, managing both networks and telephony. My role centered around supporting a Cisco network and Cisco Call Manager. Fast forward to today, and I’m still with the same organization but now focused on telephony and airwave devices. I currently support a range of systems, including a legacy Cisco Call Manager, Avaya CS1K, AudioCodes SBCs, Content Guru (a cloud-based platform), and Skype for Business (I know, not ideal—but it’s a stepping stone to Teams). We’re in the process of migrating around 15,000 users to Teams, with my primary focus being all things telephony.
My career has been an exciting journey filled with challenges, growth, and new discoveries. Along the way, I’ve met incredible people and gained valuable experiences that have shaped me both professionally and personally.
